Reports of strange activity continues to be reported from locations along the Chestnut Ridge during 2012. Reports of UFO sightings, Bigfoot and strange creature reports, unusual sounds and smells, and strange footprints have been reported from various locations of Westmoreland, Fayette, and Indiana Counties. A resident near Ligonier reports hearing in June, loud knocking sounds from the woods and describes the sound as similar to someone striking trees with a baseball bat.
