Robert L. Bitner, 85, passed away on October 12, 2012. Robert was the last living Kecksburg fireman who was involved with activities concerning the UFO incident that occurred on December 9, 1965. I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Bob many times over the years. He was a sincere and kind individual and I will miss our discussions.
Bob will forever hold his place in the history of the 1965 Kecksburg UFO incident. Maybe now he will learn the truth about what really occurred that day so many years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with Bob and his family.
