Glowing Oval Observed Near Ligonier, PA-January 5, 2015
On the evening of January 5, 2015, a motorist was traveling east on Route 30, and just past the intersection of Route 30 and Route 711 near Ligonier. Near the intersection the witness observed an amber colored object moving slowly across the sky. The object which was bright and glowing appeared to have no other lights, and gave the impression of being oval or cigar shaped. The witness opened his window but heard no sound. The driver did take a picture of the luminous object with his phone camera, but it showed little detail. The object was observed for about 3-4 minutes.
