Mysterious Low level, Close-Range Orb-Balls of Light UFO Cases Continue to Be Reported in Pennsylvania

I first became aware of encounters with small, low-level balls of light or orb cases in the 1960s from the Pittsburgh area. Over the years I have received reports from eyewitnesses of close encounters with luminous orbs of various colors. In many cases these objects were observed moving only a few feet above the ground. For many years I have referred to these objects as mini-UFOs. The objects are often reported to be the size of a golf ball or baseball, to about one to two feet in diameter. While commonly spherical, some other configurations have been reported.
People have told me of observing small solid looking spheres pacing their vehicles on highways. There were cases of these objects entering vehicles and homes through open windows. Others told me of hearing a sound on their home windows and upon looking, they saw a spherical object tapping on the glass and then ascending into the sky.
During 2022, I noticed an increase from across the Keystone State of balls of light or orb encounters. Some orbs were seen very low above the ground in daylight, in other cases they approached within a few feet of witnesses. There are also increasing reports of these objects appearing inside of homes and only feet away from the observers. In some cases, various physiological effects have been reported.
A Recent Incident:
More recently, another close-range encounter with a small luminous orb took place inside of a home. The incident occurred on August 25, 2025, at a location near the border of Westmoreland and Fayette counties.
I received a report from a witness who had a strange experience at about 5 AM that morning. He was just getting up and preparing to go to work. He was walking down the hallway and had just closed the main bedroom door. He turned and looked into another room that was across from the bedroom since that door was open. That room is 10X10 and used as a work area for the family.
That is when the witness observed a round ball of light, about ten to twelve inches in diameter, about 8-10 feet distance from him. The object was motionless and hovering about three to four feet above the floor near the window.
The object itself looked whitish gray in color and seemed translucent especially in the outer edge area. In the center area of the object there what looked like pulses of static electricity, or lightning bolts that were whitish blue in color.
Seconds later the object just vanished. The witness thought this was possibly due to the object sensing that he was close by. Moments later from outside by the window there was a bright glow illuminating that area. There were blinds on the window so he could not see the source.
The witness quickly opened the back door and looked out. There were no cars in that area, and the glow had vanished. The sighting only lasted a few seconds. No odd smell or sound reported.

The witness also mentioned that the housecat every morning when it hears that the witness is awake meets him outside of the bedroom door. He gives the cat a treat while making coffee. The cat did not show up that morning. It was hiding in the kitchen and it did not come out until the light was turned on.
These mystery orbs also have a history of being observed by researchers and witnesses in wooded locations that have a history of Bigfoot activity. I have been receiving reports for years on similar occurrences taking place around the country from Bigfoot investigators.
While I focus on UFO/UAP and cryptid cases in Pennsylvania, I receive reports from throughout the country and elsewhere.
