Pennsylvania UFO Reports This Morning Have an Explanation-October 13. 2026

If you were out early this morning and saw something unusual in the sky, you were not alone. I received a report from a man who was driving in Westmoreland County, when he observed an object that appeared over the Arona area. This occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. The witness described seeing “a ball of hot gas” with a white-blue color moving across the sky. He saw it for several seconds. I received the report minutes after this observation.
A few minutes later I received another similar sighting report that had taken place at about the same time. This observation took place between Luxor and Crabtree also in Westmoreland County. Two witnesses reported seeing what looked like a large comet. Two photos were taken of the object.
As soon as I saw the pictures I realized that this observation was related to a space launch. In past years, similar incidents have taken place over the Pittsburgh area and other sections of the state. The eyewitness details and photos were remarkably similar.
The NASA website confirmed that a Space X Falcon 9 rocket had been launched from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The rocket was carrying the Space X 35th commercial resupply for the International Space Station. The launch took place at 6:33 a.m. EDT.
As I have stated in the past, many UFO/UAP sightings look unusual, but are often misidentifications of natural or manmade objects.
There have been numerous other UFO/UAP sightings reported this year from Pennsylvania that are not so easily explained away.
