On the morning of January 21, 2019 a resident in Derry Township, Westmoreland County, noticed a series of unusual footprints in the snow. The witness observed numerous tracks that moved down a hill and continued into the distance. The tracks were estimated to be about 8-10 Inches in length and about 7 inches wide at the toes.

These tracks are smaller than some of the other footprints that have been found in this general area. Very similar tracks however, that are similar in size and configuration have been found in past years along the Loyalhanna Creek as well the Derry area and in the vicinity of the Chestnut Ridge.

The Chestnut Ridge is known for its long history of strange encounters with UFOs, Bigfoot, cryptids, as well as many other anomalies. For many years, Bigfoot tracks and other unusual footprints have shown up on the ridge and in nearby locations.
